Awarded the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award

        The 2018 National Science and Technology Awards Conference was held grandly at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the 8th. General Secretary Xi Jinping and other party and state leaders attended the meeting. The "Collaborative Guarantee Technology and Application of Water Quality Safety for Urban Centralized Reclaimed Water System" project, jointly completed by Tsinghua University, Beijing Urban Drainage Group Co., Ltd., New World Technology Group, and Beijing Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. Dr. Chen Jian, Chief Scientist of New World, was a major participant in the project. This is the first time that New World Technology Group has participated in the evaluation and won the National Science and Technology Award. Previously, the project also won the first prize of the Environmental Protection Technology Award issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection in 2017.

       As a private high-tech enterprise, New World has always taken "technological innovation and industrial service to the country" as its responsibility. As early as 2000, Dr. Chen Jian, a returnee, gave up his high salary and benefits abroad and resolutely returned to China to start his own business, pioneering the environmental protection sector for New World Technology Group. In 18 years of innovation and exploration, Dr. Chen Jian led his team to successfully develop China's first modern UV-C disinfection system, the first large-scale ozone generator with completely independent intellectual property rights, and other advanced environmental protection equipment, filling multiple domestic and international gaps and making significant contributions to China's environmental protection cause. This award is a recognition of Dr. Chen Jian and others who have been fighting on the front line of scientific research for a long time and have always been committed to the construction of green mountains and clear waters in our country. It is also a high affirmation and highest praise for New World Technology Group's commitment to technological innovation. 
       It is understood that the National Science and Technology Progress Award is one of the five major awards of the National Science and Technology Award established by the State Council (the National Highest Science and Technology Award, the the State Natural Science Award, the the State Technological Innovation Award, the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and the International Science and Technology Cooperation Award). It is the highest award established in the field of science and technology in China, evaluated once a year, aimed at recognizing scientific and technological workers who have made outstanding contributions to China's scientific and technological undertakings.
